FACILITATOR MEETING AT DOMINIC'S 18/10/05

Our reflections:

A comment was made about the remnant of the faithful

BEHAVIORAL BAROMETER: Sincere / Defeated (Essential / Dumb; Choice / No Choice)

S/F III-8 in denial: decisive or analytical ; feels involved and needed; appreciates the choice; direct action because of choice to be truly conscious

TAO 7: appreciated / rejected;

EBA 8: hostility; no victim I for nothing to win or lose except within myself;

AVOIDANCE 6, Burbank's rules; consider values not rules; there are 3 rules, see below*

RIJ, relationship to the planet: mission, to maintain our coherence with nature - link to Maturana

Promote flourishing of life

CSA fears: fear of failure; fear of success; fear of change

AML, denial of telling the truth: there is another way of looking at life; denial that we have potentials developed in other lives, to be activated and integrated now; fear stops us from activating them now;

THREE POTENTIALS for this group; reference Sardello's The Power of Soul (12 virtues);
Equanimity: -- balanced choice; harmonising of emotion, thinking and willing; developing awareness of the nature of attention; how something captures our attention, draws us out; maintaining attention, mindfulness;
Truth: -- truth of our own being; essential to be truthful about feelings;
Discernment: -- acknowledge the insights that come and return them to source, then notice which ones come back, are maintained; where do they come from; what do they want; circulation required between two levels of insight - illumination and intelligence to illuminating intelligence, then to discernment; attend to wants and desires; don't jump and go with our insights, but let them circulate a little while and see which ones are sustained; do we want the consequences of what we want now? This is where responsibility of choice comes in - see Maturana, above.

ONENESS: identify the blessing that we are; putting ourselves forward.

REAL REALITY: SOCO 7: the conformists to the rules; loyal even when harmful to selves;

Follow your heart, your head will destroy you.

*Avoid breaking the rules -clarification as represented in courses:
From CSA: life purpose - ask, from now on: when I work with people, what is it that I am doing, essentially? Reflect this to depth; what do I think people are doing as I work with them? We can acknowledge TIO definitions as general statements; but what is it that I am doing?
From AML: our definition of love doesn't need to be theirs; we need to come to our own definition of love;
From ONENESS: recognise the blessing that we are; being our truth;
